2006 to present.Tulane University (New Orleans, LA)- Teaching major and non-major students modern and ballet dance Techniques, performance, dance composition, and improvisation.
2006 to present. Experimental Movement Concepts (New Freedom, PA)- A week- long intensive exploring modern dance, dance composition, and site-specific work.
2007 to present. Dance Educator’s Training Institute (Baltimore, MD)- Teaching and learning about issues and education strategies with a group of International dance educators.
2008 to present. New Orleans Literature Festival (New Orleans, LA)- An intensive daylong writing workshop for teens at which I teach text and movement.
2012. Clancy Works Dance Company’s senior intensive (Washington, DC)- a week-long intensive working, choreographing, and teaching senior citizens in various senior homes and centers in the Washington, DC area.
2011. Goucher summer intensive (Baltimore, MD)- Teaching levels of advanced modern dance technique and choreographing with Goucher alum Mathew Heggem.
2008 to 2011. nEW Festival (Philadelphia PA)- Teaching intermediate/advanced technique to festival participants and Philadelphia dance community.
2006 to 2008. Tsunami Dance Company (New Orleans, LA)- Created and taught professional level company class open to the New Orleans dance community.
2006. St Mary’s School (Raleigh, NC)-artist in residence.
2005 to 2006. East Carolina University (Greenville, NC)-teaching dance major’s modern technique and dance history.
2005 to 2006. North Carolina Dance Academy (Greenville, NC)- teaching intermediate/advanced modern dance technique.
2002 to 2004. University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT)-teaching major and non-majors dance composition classes, assisting in undergraduate majors improvisation, teaching non-majors intermediate dance technique and assisting in a graduate dance in community class.
2002 to 2003. Artsbridge Scholar (Salt Lake City, UT)-working with children to create a musical using improvisation, composition and community building tools that culminated in a site specific musical that animated the children’s school and it’s grounds.
2002 to 2005. Clancy Works summer intensive (Washington DC)-taught technique, composition, and improvisation.
1994 to 2007. Experimental Movement Concepts (Baltimore, MD)-taught technique, composition, improvisation, and repertory classes in addition to running a six-week site -specific composition repertory summer camp for children.
2000. American Dance Festival (Durham, NC)-taught composition repertory in the four week intensive for young dancers.
1998 to 2000. School for New Dance Development (Amsterdam, Holland)-taught choreography and technique.
1992 to 1997. The Liz Lerman Dance Exchange (Washington DC)- company member, taught extensively around the country and Europe to dancers and non-dancers alike, led and planned residencies, taught technique, composition, and choreography for workshops, master classes, and residencies. I taught to senior citizens, teenagers, children, dance professionals, college dance majors, and young and old professionals of any experience.
